Can God, can answers, be found in the hustle and bustle of daily life as easily (or fully) as in silence, solitude, and simplicity?
I think it’s fair to say, the workplace can be a difficult place in which to “be spiritual.” To find God there, here, we have to work at it, and most traditional spiritual disciplines and practices are not well designed to help us do that here. That is why we are offering this new series of resources and inviting colleagues across the system on a journey of discovery that might help each of us practice the spirituality of our work.
We invite your feedback and if you are willing, please share how you use these resources at SpiritualityofWork@catholichealth.net. We will share your insights, as much as possible, on the new Spirituality of Work resource.
So… is there such a thing as Spirituality of Work? Watch this brief video as we start our journey at the beginning to explore: Is there such a thing as spirituality of work?
So… what could Spirituality of Work look like? What could it sound like? What could it feel like? As we begin our journey, please refer to the September 28, 2017 guide posts. Allow yourself to enter into the deeper “why” of why you do what you do…We hope they offer insights and help each of us on this journey to not only think that our work has value, but believe it is connected to a higher purpose, part of something larger, a deeper meaning.Spend some time with them in personal reflections, meetings or with your team and see where they lead.
