Program Objectives:
The goals of this course are to consider the practice of ethics consultation, the ethical analysis in clinical care, and areas of research. It seeks to develop the skills and core competencies necessary to provide effective clinical ethics consultation skills and analysis.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain practical knowledge, skills, and interprofessional attributes to provide healthcare ethics consultation
- Explore approaches to an ethics assessment and analysis
- Learn the core competencies of ethics consultation and apply them through case-based learning
- Upon completion, the participant will be comfortable with rounding, be a primary responder to ethics consultation, and practice everyday ethics.
