God of justice,

we see so much pain and hurt and division,

and we cry out to you and ask why:

Why is there so much agony?

So much suffering?

So much injustice?

Yet in the midst of our ‘‘whys,’’

we trust.

Trust in your goodness.

Trust in your provision.

Trust that, even now,

you are in midst of reconciling

and making things right.

Be present to those in need,

and bring your healing power of love to us all.
