Episode 6 – Sr. Nancy Surma

In this episode of Courageous Paths of Hope and Healing, Sr. Nancy Surma, OSF reflects on the significance of faith, prayer, and calling. As a Sister of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio, she explores stories from the Franciscan history as related to the COVID-19 crisis.

In her role as Vice President of Mission Integration, she ensures CHI Living Communities—deeply rooted in its Catholic heritage—continues fulfilling its mission and values for all residents, their families and employees. In 2006, she entered into health care, serving as Senior Vice President of Mission Integration for Sylvania Franciscan Health. She earned a doctoral degree in higher education administration from Boston College and presently serves on the board of trustees for CHI St. Joseph Health System in Bryan, Texas, and on the Catholic Health Association’s Mission Leaders Advisory Committee.
