Catherine McAuly

Catherine McAuly, the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy said, “God has never bestowed all his blessings on one person. He did not give to St. Peter what he gave to St. Paul, nor to either what he gave to St. John.”
The sentiment that “one common spirit” inspires our hope for becoming a single-hearted enterprise of healing is almost completely due to the fact that we are all individually essential, but not a single one of us possesses all of the essential skills to get everything done.
We accept the gifts and talents of each other as mutually valuable contributions for the whole good. And, we come together with an expectation that when every single person joins their gifts and blessings with the person next to them – we are CommonSpirit Health.
Amen
