Care for Patients, Community and Environment is Interconnected

Adopt a circular model of production; preserve resources for present and future generations. (Laudato Si 22)

We all share a responsibility to care for our patients, community and environment, as it is all interconnected. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented global challenges, with manufacturing delays and raw good shortages. Despite these obstacles, our Supply Service and Resource Management (SSRM) team has been able to ensure that our frontline staff have what they need to care for our patients. While we continue to source new products, we also explore all avenues for reducing our financial and environmental impact. One way is reprocessing, which can potentially decrease excavation and consumption of raw goods as well as any by-products created during the manufacturing process. This is one way we are taking action as stewards.
