We are committed to providing healthy food and beverages that not only support healthy bodies, but reduce our carbon footprint in our environment. Supply and Service Resource Management works in partnership with our Food and Nutrition Departments to identify produce companies that provide fresh, locally grown and organic fruit and vegetables, which can be used in our patient menus and our cafeterias. In addition, we work to reduce the amount of sugary beverages consumed by offering and promoting more nutritional, less calorically dense alternatives. The goal is to reduce the impact unhealthy food has on our patients and on their families, too.
