There is still a need to develop adequate storage technologies. (Laudato Si 26)
Inspired by the sustainability work being done at Dignity Health, I began to assess my personal contribution to the impact of global warming. As a result, I became an early adopter of solar energy in 2007. Self-electric generation also allowed me to reduce my use of natural gas. In February 2020, I installed a Tesla battery that allows me to store electricity from my solar panels. A mobile application allows me to monitor the energy captured and consumed any time of the day. Knowledge is a powerful tool. This information has altered my usage pattern and behavior. Each of us in our own way can work to reduce our carbon footprint.
